I second this
This is my first post on this website after reading and gathering info for a couple of months.
This topic has been very informative and I would like to see further pictures and posts about how the process has gone
oops hows 18 months for a gap in building??
life kind of got in the way of building the Vektor and I got distracted bringing a slightly bigger boat back to life last year…
anyway I’m back with a vengeance now and intend to get this build finished in the next few days. I’ve managed to glass in the keel box/mast step and most of the internal structure over the last couple of days but I forgot to take step by step photo’s and forgot my login details for this site but having rediscovered them this morning here is where I’m upto…
I’ve got the rest of the week off work, all radio gear, rigs, rudders, keels and epoxy required so after an 18 month delay I’m going to finish this boat in record time!! wish me luck!
Nice to see you back in the workshop… errr floor. The Vektor is a nice sailing boat. I have pulled about 8 hulls from my mold, and all but one are on the water now.

Hi Hew
if i needed any more motivation those pics are awesome!!
Do you have any pictures of what you’ve done with the deck, winch positions etc? I think I’ve got it all worked out but it would be great to see how you’ve done it, I’m scouring through you previous posts but thought i would ask in case one particular post is a gold mine of info!

Let me know if you want specific photos of any part of the boat that’s not there, and I’ll send them along.
thanks for the pictures hew, i studied them intently!
progress has been swift over the last few days, deck on, radio gear installed, hours and hours of sanding and first coats of primer…
the white primer really shows up the imperfections in the deck so there is still more microballoning and sanding required but its almost complete!
success!!
I’m happy!
thanks for everyones advice over the last 18 months or so
awesome read!!! where can i get my hands on the plans for the Vektor?
The plans are a Graham Bantock design, available from his website: http://sailsetc.com . Here is a link to his IOM plans page, http://sailsetc.com/miscplans.htm#intonemetre

You got any pictures of your molds??
your boat looks great… just wondering if there is a diff. between the wood IOM and the hull that was pulled from the mold???
great job
