There was some talking about a trainer somewhere sometimes!!!
So congrat. to Matt who made one[:-angel]; great job and many pics[:-captain]

how about the others? Doug?[:-?help]
I am/was really interested in this trainer…I made a few drawings…but my building skills are non-existent…I really wished I could build my own[:-ashamed]…

I’ve built three prototypes that are almost ready to sail; more details and pictures soon

  1. two 30" ; 3.45 lb. displ.;481 sq.in. SA, 55 degree canting keel in a trunk; kFoil for lateral resistance; on deck rack allows battery to slide side to side; one with rudder t-foil and reverse bow; one standard bow -no rudder T-foil(t-foil will be left off during first sailing tests), uses Guyatt 280 as canting keel winch. 4 channel/3 channel-kFOIL can be automaticlly deployed.Transom mounted rudders
  2. one 23"(22" waterline)- built from existing tooling . Displ 2.25lb; SA 381 sq. in. ,uses 3801 for canting keel winch;55 degree cant, kfoil. 4 channel/3 channel-same as 30.Rudder under boat.

Yes,
I am sure we would all like to see something that Doug has made.
He has sent you a Boom “to have a look at”, the shipping costs must be nearly the cost of a basic Camera.
Perhaps he now thinks his business is BOOMING, now he is exporting them to England!.
I would like to see some proof of any of the many things he claims to be doing/ have done.
If you add up all the years he claims to have done this and that, he should be at least 80 years old - -and no proof of any of it.
Photo’s of the latest boats would be most welcome, pictures of his boats on the water, would dispel a lot of doubts folk have about him.

I sincerely hope that the moderator abuse problem including the selective and arbitrary enforcement of the rules, allowing personal attacks against one member ect. can be overcome so the the CK Trainer project can again be a coperativeve venture for the good of the whole forum.

I have been the subject of a series of personal attacks and when I respond the topic is locked, the post removed or both. The rules specifically prohibit personal attacks yet both of these “moderators” have specifically allowed a virulent, obnoxiuous, ignorant and grossly uniformed post by the Gale to remain on the PUB.
This kind of moderator abuse is a disgrace and a violation of the trust placed in these guys by Chad.
