OMG…
how did they keep the boat from NOT going over. holy SH!T…
I’ll bet all the sphincters were puckered up and tight…
O’ll bet NZ plays their postponement card just to check the boat out…

wow oh my god :spin::spin: ETNZ almost lost it there !!! they did so well to recover from that near capsize and disastrous consequences but they’re back in now - I already have no more nails to bite and struggling to breath !!!
Glad to hear all the crew and the boat are good for race 2 - fair play to them
anyone else love the new grey pupon commercials… funny stuff…
BULLSNOT…come on RACE …damn race committee and wind rules…
race 9 abandoned for now as the wind reached over the max limit before they reached mark 2 - this is not good as OR will have more time to train and modify their boat before tomo
What a exciting race day !!! honestly thought ETNZ was going to carbon waste there for a second :shake: … feel sad for both teams having race 2 cancelled during the race due to wind limits, Oracle did a great job …well done !!!
Marc, I did that once to a captain on a 90’ motor yacht with my 16’ speed boat, just about made him stop on the ICW in FL. The look he gave me,Priceless…

Gotta say, That a first, too much wind?
Well, at the last second DB turned right just enough (and got the penalty) and as the grinders pumped up the hydro, the trimmer finally got the wing to ‘pop.’
Gary said they “almost bricked the boat” which a term used with phones and tablet PCs, but I understand what he means. That’s not really the way to increase your carbon footprint!
They had an interesting bit of history there at the end of the YouTube stream, about the history of the AC. I alread have a few books about the Amerca’s Cup up to about 2000, but are there any books about the current AC that are worthwhile, but still affordable? Remember, I can only afford to race 1Ms.
What- there’s no Super Sunday this time? So Oracle can pick up another 30 points for the win?
HaHaHaHa
How many lives has a cat?

That commentator Tucker Johnson confuses me all the time. If the wing had popped, that would have buried the wing into the bay.
The ‘unpopped’ wing saved the NZL-campaign!
fast track today!
will we see 34 knots while beating today?
Was it that bad that the Race 9 & 10 replays are not available to U.S.A. viewers? I’ll give it another hour, then try again.
Here’s a thought…
What if JS was slow on the tiller, and instead of voiding the ETNZ boat, accidentally ran into it while it was heeled over to some 44 degrees? It could have damaged the OR boat, as well as the Kiwi boat, putting both boats out. OTUSA still has their second boat somewhere, probably ready to go, but he Kiwis don’t?
In favour of the Kiwis, the windward hull could have come down on the OR boat, hopefully missing any of the crew, and put it out of the race.  :dissappro
Here you go- Oracle with BOTH hulls out of the water (!?) while going upwind.
Makeup schmakeup. You can’t cover up ugly! Oracle probably has a gorgeous Ohio babe on hand to wave the flag when they cross the line for the 9th point.
Here is another little tidbit for you mates. In case you were wondering about all those MPH figures Mr. Jobson is saying. (1 knot = 1.15077945 MPH)
" For one swallow does not make a spring, nor does one day; nor, similarly, does one day or a short time make us blessed and happy."
Aristotle
Yeah your right ! no matter how we try … she’s/he is still a Kiwi sailor ![]()
Well tell her to take it out of JS pants … then they could possibly have chance of winning AC 35 ![]()
