Yes, cheap plaster filler. My brother used it with success on his full size keel plug.
Will sand tomorrow.

Second coat of filler.

Third coat of filler. Will sand again tomorrow night. I have dusted black paint on the hull to catch low spots. Will use the cheap filler as long as possible, but the final touch will be with poly filler after the glass/epoxy layer.

I love this kind of shape including overhangs !

Yes, I love the shape of a twelve meter.
I will try to do it justice.

Thin layer of fiberglass and epoxy this morning.

Are you a Robot ? heheh !! Anyhow amazing !

How can You be so fast then !
I knows, you don’t sleep…
Cheers

Hello Claudio,

I agree, I don’t sleep enough… haha

Sanded again today. 3 hours. Still a long ways off, but it’s getting better and better.

Went sailing with Australia II today. I had fixed the sheeting system, and all worked fine. I sailed for 1.5 hour.

Been working quite a bit on Courageous this past week. Will paint the plug tomorrow, and hopefully make the mold next week.

Painted the plug with polyester paint this morning. Will wet sand tomorrow.

Mold making. Worked on the mold part line yesterday. Today we applied to coats of mold gelcoat. Feels good.

Amazing Job Lars, no others words !

If I would be close I would ask to make my Esterel 45.
My legs are not following my hands as before !
Cheers
Claudio

Thanks Claudio! Kind words that means a lot coming from you. I worked today for my company, but will work on the mold again tomorrow. Cheers Lars

Surface layer plus top layer 1,2 & 3 are done. Layer 4,5 & 6 this afternoon, and 7,8&9 tomorrow. Sunday I will start on the other side.

Very elegant on water as expected. May be the Stern need to a bit lower on water with some ballast or better moving parts like battery.
Are you intending to install a Genoa ?
Cheers
ClaudioD

Yes, the battery was sitting to far forward.
Good eyes!
No Genoa on this model, but if I can make a lighter hull, it would be fun to try Genoa.
