Derusha, sir it would be really helpful if you would put a link to your website in your postings.
Perhaps you could include it in your signature.
We are all interested in your projects but serching back through 160 posts for your link is a bit of a pain.
Thank you for your understanding and best wishes for your business from NZL.
Thanks mate.:zbeer:
Please forgive the “hard to find photo’s” as I do not have a new web page in place but wanted to continue to support the 1/10 class…hoping this stimulates other’s progress. Also trying not to be “too commercial” yet. Kind regards,Dean
Mate, you can be as commercial as you want as far as I personally am concerned.
If you are a modeller of your quality you can only inspire the hacks like me to greater things. “Fill yer boots mate” :zbeer:
Anyone interested to make the Flying tiger in 1/10th? Perhaps they could be vacuum formed? Any ideas builders?? Thanks for your participation!! Dean
Dean - what kind of price are you looking at?
I had original set of lines from Bob Perry way back - but never bothered them to send me the updated and final versions as built.
I’ll be passing through your area in late October/early November. You are talking hull and deck only - right? If you have one done, wouldlove to stop in chat, meet you and see what’s cookin’.
There may be some FT10 owners on Sailing Anarchy willing to purchase a model - either working or static. Might want to post there once your prototype is done. Of course, some will want full working asy - but will drop over from cost to engineer and insert controls.
Dick,
I would hope someone could produce a FT10m say out of vacuumed plastic to keep the cost down…my route is first class throughout. Cost right now depend on contractor’s. I down sized my physical shop and have cold stored much. The future shop will have every dept. that I sub out now.Such then I have not as much control on costs. Price TBA, Dean
i would love to, but may be cooking some up for another, and hope to start on a 1/10’er to add to my available structures.
i wil pass on the info to another pro builder. he may be able to take on the job. he recently built the hugo boss 60, so if you want top notch, he’ll do very well.
Hey Nigel -
looks like you and your “sources” hit the new Boss pretty much on the head with the double cabins. Still not sure “why” they went with that design - but it’s nice to know that the “Soon-to-be” turns out on target.
from what my pal said, they wanted to look diferent from the rest. that boat looks like something that storm troopers come out of.
First commercial production(As far as I know)60" model to be delivered next tuesday…pictures to be posted as she is outfitted. Prices available if there
is serious interest.
Going commercial I will stay out of this forum as I think I should.
I will help those still pursuing the 1/10 effort.

thank you, Dean Derusha
Dean -
just post anything for sale on the “Classified” area of the forum. I think anyone building would like to be able to click on that part of the forum and be able to see what you are marketing. I speak for myself, since there are times being able to quickly find something/someone with out using a search engine to find your web address to go there “indirectly” is simply a “pain”.
In the meantime, since you are also a builder for yourself (???) there is no reason not to keep posting here with the most current updates to the TP-52 - or any otehr sailing model. If one is selected for production - keep all info here and just post the $$$ (cost) on the classified side. Everyone making and selling FOOTY’s seem to have no problem posting - so why should you … unless it’s a size thing ? (hee hee)
I hadn’t noticed before - until I saw the sailing photos of the boat after it was “splashed” that it has a set of hard chines on it.
Nigel - is your “contact” able to provide any deck photos one could use for a scale build? I’m thinking winches, and similar deck fittings as an “as built/as sailed” photos? The sketches you posted give the general ideas, but sometimes, true photos reveal what may be lost (like chines) and will only add to the realisim.
I’m almost positive I will be looking at the “BOSS” for my 1:10 - along with a possible conversion of my F-48 with deck hardware, traveller, etc. Since the multi will require some surgery to do that, it may not happen and I’ll confine myself to the “BOSS” for scale.
nah. he returned his copy of the plans before he left for another gig here.
he did mostly mold, super structure construction, and oven programing. deck hardware was taken care of by others. don’t know em.
Here you go guys, not quite 1/10 but very close, A Maxi.
The first 1 built was 1700mm LOA, the second just shy of 2000mm LOA.
It’s Big.
Enjoy.

very nice. motivating as well!
I’m going to step out on a limb and assume the canting keel and retractable boards don’t function…?
i was wondering about functionality on some of the furling systems as well.
i’d love to check out some of those frenchie boats first hand.
I’d be really interested in getting into the scale racing thing myself. Anybody know where to get lines for a Wavelength 24? It’s made by Santana Boats. I race on a fullsize one and would like to make a 1/10 version for my first homebuilt boat considering the size would make it easily transportable and the layout is pretty simple. I’m already fairly experienced in fiberglass layup considering my auto body background (custom hotrods and stuff). I assume you guys are using matt? Would prepreg or dry be better?
