The Chairman and Secretary of the Woodspring Club were kind enough to invite me to give my talk on Footy’s and Bottle Boats last night (5/3/09) at the Ship Inn at Portishead.
About 20 members attended plus some new Clevedon members who had missed the talk when i had given it at their club.
The talk lasted for an hour and covered some history of the class, kits, plans, the McRig, bottle boats and finishing with a question and answer time.
There was an equal division of interest by the club members in both character and racing elements of the class but notably in Lajabless, Freya and the Pintail.
