I’m 58 and one of the younger members of our club. Average age is about 68. When we travel to other clubs we have been known to remind the hosts that IOM sailing is not an athletic meeting,and to keep the courses compact, as the visitors have new hips, pacemakers and worn out bodies due to a lifetime sailing in dinghies and larger yachts.
