Just letting you guys know that the UK Micro Magic Class has just formed and has a home at www.sailuk.org
A bunch of us “big boat” sailors have essentially got together to do this as we have been playing with the little marvels after our races for a while now and we thought we’d try and promote it through the other full size dinghy and yacht Classes.
From an outsiders point of view the UK RC sailing appears way too expensive to do in addition to our full size sailing.
The cost of a IOM being about the same as a new spinnaker for my 505.
Until that is, we stumbled on the little Micro Magic which costs less than 25% of that, plus I can get it in the car with all my other sailing gear.
You never know it might act as a stepping stone for more of us into your sport.
