transmitter trouble

my servos are twitching when my boat gets more than about 100 ft away i think its time for a new reciever?

i love tinkering with these boats it takes up time i’m sure my girfreind is going to hate it soon

hmmm could be water in the reciever also can take up to 24 hours for reciever to dry out. Or you are getting interference form other radio items.

Where is your aerial? Inside or outside your boat?

Make sure your aerial isn’t contacting any aluminium or doesn’t have any water (even one drop) near it.

Make sure the antenna wire is extended as much as possible. try to avoid coiling the wire. Also good to twist the servo wires to reduce noise.

Check the receiver antenna wire. It could be broken in the middle, if it was ever pinched severely or pulled (even though the insulation is intact).

to if the antenna touches any aluminum like say the servo arm? than it will cause it to twich? also if water contacts the antenna it will cause me to loose control? that would explain it thanx, i’m a retard[:-banghead][:-boggled][:-weepn]
