There are some new boats that will make their first appearance in Tanglewood, so come and check them out. There is also an optional tour for spouses to nearby Florida State Park including a tram ride and CCC museum.

Just a note to invite anyone to join our normal weekly Footy racing activity on Mondays from 10:00 to Noon.
There are a number of Footy events coming up over the next 2 months, so the practice could help get some of the bugs out and tweak your tuning or tryout those new sails.
You will find our TW Model Design Team members very friendly and helpful in getting your boat going well. We also need the competition to help us get better.
We currently put 6 TW boats on the water every Monday and should be over 10 and growing by the end of January.

Reminder that the 4th leg of the Florida Footy Festival II will be this Saturday, Jan 17th, 2009 at Tanglewood in Sebring. Racing starts at 1:00 PM with trophies and chevrons to 3 places. Entry fee is $5.00 and can be paid upon arrival in Tanglewood. This is a great chance for some additional practice before the Nationals in Orlando in early March.
Current forecast is for temperatures in the mid 60’s with Sun and Scattered clouds and winds at 11 mph from the NNW. Should be a great day at Tanglewood pond.

An “Appreciation Race” between non-Trophy winners was won by Bill Neilson from Oakland in the Ft. Lauderdale area.
There were also 2 beautifully finished foam “Shark” Footy’s from Titusville. Six entries were TW “Jim-Bob’s”.

Footy’s are raced every Monday in TW from 10:00 AM to Noon. Visitors are welcome to join us.
