Successfully completed the second edition of the Footy Italian Cup in 2014 .
Thanks to the group ARL of Milano (www.radiovelisti.it) who organized the event perfectly with Roberto Pedrini (the ARL’s President) and Claudio Felcini and wife who have worked for us for 2 days for the smooth running of the race .
The wind conditions were not so regular but we have nevertheless played 17 races of 2 laps with 15 competitors in the water in a sigle fleet
With great pleasure for us, Phil Tyler is arrived from Switzerland with two “Swedish friends” (Jonas and Fredrik) to play with us. The three foreigners were equipped with 3 Slim realized by Phil. We had known Jonas from the Gold Cup in Le Havre, where he had already raced with a boat of Phil.
The “foreigners” have already “booked” a place for the next races at Genoa where they hope to be able to come … if it will no for this year, definitely next year we will organize in a wonderful location Genoese an international regatta … If it will not be called “Gold Cup”, we’ll call it “Golden Cup” or “Platinum Cup” … the name is the last problem, but we have already at least 3 pre-registration
The competition has been very close with in the head groups of 6-7 boats leading top positions. Very nice and fast the new Engi Boat who won more races than all the others (7). With 6 races won my Urca Footy V3, then 3 first for Gigi’s boat and 1 for the Phil’s Slim .
