WHITE ROCK CUP
The Trinity River Yacht Club in Dallas, TX is hosting back-to-back Regional Championships for the RG65 and IOM classes. The RG65 racing will be on March 14-15 and the IOM racing will be on March 16-17. The events will be held at Corinthian Sailing Club on White Rock Lake, which is a great venue for R/C racing. The two-story clubhouse in located on the dock, and competitors control their boats from either the 2nd floor deck or form the dock directly below. The building has 110V, heat, and is full of tables for boat assembly, testing, and storage.
Each event is scored separately and run under its respective class rules. For those competitors racing in both events, their two final scores will be combined to calculate results for the overall event. This dual event is the rebirth of the White Rock Cup which started in the 1990s.
The event site is: http://whiterockcup.blogspot.com/ Entries for each event are limited to 36 as the facility cannot reasonably accommodate more racers. This limit will also keep each event to two fleets, which is ideal for a two-day event. The event site has the NORs, site information, and a link to the on-line entry form. Additional information including a list of competitors, photos, and results will be added over time.
We hope you will come out to race in one or both events. If you have any questions, either post them here or shoot me a PM or email.
Cheers,
Eric Rosenbaum
