[:-party]I subscribe to both this site and the Windpower forum and enjoy both of them.[:-sonar]
I am not rating either site, nor looking for any sort of a fight, so these comments are my observations for no other reason than I like to see my name in print.[:-smile_green]
I have not been on line for two days and in that time, this site had 13 active threads, whilst Windpower had none. I now come back here six hours later and there are another 5 active threads.[:-spin]
OK a lot of the posts are drivel, but so what. [:-splat]
I enjoy all the action and comments no matter how interested I am in the subject discussed. There is always something to be learned from the huge knowledge base on line here.[:-tophat]
The two sites have a totally different feel and I enjoy them both for different reasons. It is a shame that they seem to be a little quiet at the moment.
Maybe I should pop over there and start some controversy.[8]
I also check both [;)]…but I feel like Windpowere is a more “elitist” forum, talking about rules and stuff…nothing for me…yet…but as you say, both are nice, rcsailing.net seems to be more active…specially the pub!
Hi Ian and Wis!
For Sure, Ian, you should pop up there and start some controversy. However, your competence in that area seems far from impressive. Your “anti-girl-in-tub” action
showed some attempt in that direction. Maybe, you are moving in the right direction.
Regards,
Booster
[:-batman]Booster, you have no idea how much of a stirrer I can be, if I set my mind to it.[:D]
To be honest, I would rather be the instigater of a technical discussion with some heat in it, than a simple flame war, based on some perceived slight or wrongdoing.[:-cry]
These forums are generally very good now that some of the previous thorns have been removed.[-crzwom]
Let`s try to keep the standard as good as it is now.[:-doggy]

Do it NOW before it`s too late.

my self concerned
i perfer this forum to windpower. yes there is alot of drivel. but there is alot to be learn here. and i have made frineds here, poeple who are new to the hobby and poeple who have been here awhile. at windpower i find that (like wis said) it is a bit elitsted. you are driving IOM or real high priced boats. for a while now. there has been to mods, trying to solve a problem here. getting a cheap mutlihull for poeple to build. maybe jump start the division. just this talk alone is different from windpower. we ARE talking about sailing here. how to improve it. not just what is going on. there has been a time when we had to censure a memeber because he was causing too much of a distrubance. but that has past. you want to start something. i have the perfect queston? what makes a sailboat go fast? long waterline? more sail? wide beam? shallow rocker panel. these are qusetions i would like to discuss.
cougar
some poeple just dont get it.
you drive a boat by steering it? just like a car, damm must be he cant see over the gunwhale? that is why he sails in a yacth. i drive my sailboats
