Just found this forum recently. Wanted to reply to a thread, but need to introduce myself. My name is Charlie and I started sailing in the 70’s. About a year or two of vane sailing before radio got reliable. The days of 20# wooden “M” boats ! Lived and sailed on Long island, NY for 30 years. The Mill Pond MYC in Port Washington. I currently sail mostly for fun with an occasional race day with my Victor SOM. I also in the process of building a plank on frame schooner. Hope to get it wet by March or April.
