Just came across this, but I’m not sure of the origin or designer. It looks like it will take a decent wind to get it going, but has the potential to be real fast in a blow.
Is that a roller reefing jib???
With the twin sheets leading aft towards the back wheels.

I was wondering about those lines myself. I think the black “forestay” is actually a carbon rod or tube needed to keep the rig standing, sort of like the 3rd leg of a stool. I suspect that once underway, the long skinny rod may start to oscilate & that the 2 lines are needed to dampen out the movement. I doubt that it’s any sort of jib, because at the speeds these thing can attain, jibs cause more drag than power after a point
