Sorry for posting yet another shot of a full-sized sailboat. Ofcourse we are an RC Sailing forum, but hey, that’s what the Pub is for, right?
Talk of vintage marbleheads, and an idea for an RC 49er in other threads somehow got me thinking of a local class (here in Auckland), the M Class 18 footer. Before WWII, the Sydney 18s and the Auckland Ms were similar, and raced against each other. The two classes took different paths after the war. In recent years there has been a renewed interest in the Vintage 18s on both sides of the Tasman. Now THAT would be a very challenging RC project. I can tell you first hand, watching these boats race is a real pleasure.
