One of our Registrars is Missing!
Bill Shorney, the Canadian Registrar is not answering emails. We all hope that no ill has befallen him - but in the meantime we have a problem!
I attach a copy of the ballot proposal. Could anyone in Canada with a registered Footy please respond to me at translate@enterprise,net. If you are in contact with anyone else, please let them know.
Hopefully normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

You may be able to get a line on Bill Shorney through Larry Miskie, who is the Treasurer and Registrar for the CRYA ( Canadian Radio Yachting Association ).His e-mail is treasurer@crya.ca .
The last reference to Bill Shorney thay I’ve seen was an article in the Globe and Mail of 27 June 09 “Whatever floats your boat–A man’s obsession with the esoteric sport of microyachting”. You might be interested in reading the article itself.

I will call Bill and let him know if I can chat with him. I know that 2 weeks ago he had gone away… could have been vacation. Will post back asap when I have found him.
Update: Hmmm, no answer there too. Will continue to pursue his whereabouts for you.
Thanks to all of you here and elsewhere who are in the Find Bill movement. Please everyone, do understand that I have a huge liking and respect for Bill - but it would be nice to be able to get hold of him.

Hey Rod, cant find the article online. Do you have a link. I would be interested in reading it. I met Bill in July at a local Metro Marine Moddellers club regatta. I was looking at and interested in the Victoria’s.
I Googled “Globe and Mail” and then “Whatever floats your boat” and got a page requesting me to sign in on “Globe Plus”, whatever that is. I didn’t.
But seriously, folks----If no Bill Shorney, where do we Canadians find the BALLOT, and how do we VOTE?
Kotoc----I cut the article out, and if you can’t find it, will run it through my machine and send it to you as an attachment privately. The comment that jerked my chain was about “Wealthy Yachtmen”, referring to us Footy owners maybe?
