M class Deck limit mark?

My Marblehead is coming along. I made a set of sails, and I’m building and marking the mast.

One thing that I am confused about, because of my boat design (Monarch), is the “Deck Limit Mark”, or the G band on the mast. I have a raised foredeck, a flat aft deck and sunken mast box. So where do I put the Deck limit mark?

Attached is a crude drawing and marked points (1, 2, 3, 4). Which point do I use?
