I am an engineer with some experience in areas of hydrodynamics but none in hull design. I have become interested in hull design. I have used 3 of the free design software programs, each of which has it’s own shortcomings. I am seeking more info on the concepts of just what is happening when a hull moves through the water – wave formation, laminar vs turbulent flow, the various sources of drag and design techniques for dealing with all of this stuff, etc, etc – I would appreciate any discussion on these subjects and/or any leads or links to good explainations at other websites –
