lol you got a good start there…
But what about bluenose? the fastest schooner of them all???
from a canadian point of view
Cougar
unfortunately is not an AMERICA CUP contender !

OK, so we’ve now seen all of Claudio’s excellent renderings of the various America’s Cup yachts. For those interested in building the ‘J’ class, I came across the following excellent site giving a photographic build log of a 2m long J.
The builder has incorporated some incredible ideas with regards to the rig including adjustable fore stay & back stay. Enjoy!
Cheers,
Row
Edit: From the left side menu click on ‘Rainbow J Class Yacht’ under the heading ‘Other Ships’.
Hi Row,
very interesting, the thing that solicited my attention among others is the plaster pouring to get the ballast form.

18 pages of what is nearly erotic material…which I had the skill and patience
Canadian point of view? please…!!!
The whole world wants that!
The M-Class is a world-wide class.
PLEASE CLAUDIO!
So…
You can design anything you feel like.
So long as it’s 50" long, and carries 800sq inches of sail (and a few other points based on what the design fits into)
You can do ANYTHING you want in the M-Class.
That is the ENTIRE point of the class.
If somebody is really interested to build the Bluenose, then I would suggest to buy this amazing book that was offered to me by my dear friend Gilligan of Quebec that is retracing all the history. Plenty of plans and enormous amount of details, much better the ones I could make myself.
A book that deserve a nice place in the library. The construction is very complicated, you knows when you start, but …

I’m building a 12mR inspired by Columbia from 1958. I used scale 1:12, the boat is 178cm or 70 inches long, carries 13,8kg of lead (about 30 pounds).
Hi Larsli68,
nice to see this huge construction !
The purpose of this tread is anyhow specifically dedicated to smaller size hulls in the order of 115/120cm lenght.
I suggest to open a new dedicated 1/12 scale tread !
Cheers

Hello Claudio,
OK, will do.
