Hi,
I’ve only just begun RC sailing after a recent operation left me with a lot of time on my hands. I’ve never sailed before, and get seasick, so RC seemed the best way to get on the water!
I’ve built a Jif65 and although she’s a bit rough around the edges (bin-bags for sails!) she sails a treat on my local reservoir, in fact I’m surprised how quickly these boats go when the water’s flat.
I’m currently building ‘proper’ sails and rigs so I can get more efficiency, esp when traveling into the wind, and when I’ve got a bit more experience, I’d love to build an IOM.
