I used to race sabots, lido 14’s, Hobie Cats and big boats as a teenager in Southern California. While I miss the ocean terribly, I love my adopted state of Idaho. For several years I flew RC Sailplanes, so I had been thinking about RC sailboats as an interest. Imagine my surprise to come across the Famous Potatoes Sailing Club’ IOM regatta this last weekend, at my local pond. I only saw a little bit, but it looks like a bunch of fun racing! (I can post some more pictures and a few movie clips if anyone is interested.) I am now thinking of acquiring my first RC sailboat, and will be trolling for good information here.
