Ben lexen was put into the americas cup hall of fame poeple. this is great news as ben was a great guy. who encourages us all to become better than we are. nothing is impossible. even to a dumb canadian who ask stupid question(my words) not his. what make a sailboat go fast

Cougar, you may"not fool around and take offense to that" but you sure got fooled on this April Fools Day!! The link you posted is dead but I did some research and found that Scuttlebutt Europe ran the story(JOKE) that Ben Lexcen had been inducted into the Hall of Fame.IT WAS NOT TRUE!!!

Seems the new york yacht club still rules the waves. They will probably make sure Ben never gets in there. They probably still believe that the swiss designed the keel.

A Swiss designing the keel? I believe Peter van Oosanen probably is Dutch. Van Oosanen later designed a Americas Cup yacht for some Australian Syndicate. However, it was not as fast as when Ben Lexcen was involved…
