So Father’s day was good to me. Got a new surmount from Hobby King. Nice looking hull. The bits are pretty cheap though. I attached the rudder and then was fiddling with the keel and suddenly the rudder dropped a bit. When I looked the little rudder control arm that is plastic had completely crumbled. Had to get a new one. This one is nylon and much stronger. Hoping to get it in the water by next weekend or the one after.
I’m using a lemon dsmx receiver and my devo 10 transmitter for it. Should have plenty of range with that set up.
Has anyone else used this boat? Done any mods to it? Any other issues I should know about?
