Hi,
the added strakes may first disturb the glass lamination by creating air tunnels asides the strakes strips, second , similar problems with the adhesion of packing tape, if any.
The sharpness of strakes may be lost. see sketch
I suggest to adds these elements on the finished hull as accessories.

Yeah I though about the "sharpness as well and getting the nice right angle against the hul/strake interfacel…and the tape sticking. and giving me good relief.
I hesitiate to add them after the fact unless I took some of the 1oz cloth in the final layer and added the strakes and then did a vaccum bag over the top to get the resin and glass to really suck in close…

You could also use microballs mixed with epoxy to fill the shape before GF lamination. This way forget packing tape.
