The Frensham Open will take place on Saturday April 10th and we look forward to seeing you there. We have a grassy control area alongside the water, plenty of depth for launching, a comfortable club house on site, and a car park immediately behind that grassy bank. Google Sailfrensham, or enter Frensham Great Pond in Google Earth. Frensham was home to the Footy Championships last year and happily shared a buoyed off stretch oif water with our dingy fleet.
John Meredith has kindly sent out invitations and the NOR to all Footy owners. If you would like to know more then please email Charles at tradboat@btinternet.com or give him a ring at 01483 429792. We welcome visitors from other clubs, anyone interested in Footys, and can sometimes loan boats.
We are particularly glad to see junior competitors. If you have not thought of it before, then you might like to make up team with one of your children (grandchildren!) - Team Mim did well last year - Grandad and a 10 year old grandaughter. Youngsters are very welcome to sail in their own right of course.
Incidentally our club kitchen provides food for most of the day and we will provide a free Frensham Tea
There is a new Trophy to be unveiled and all junior skippers can be sure of a prize. This is a friendly event, run under the sailing rules of course, but novices will always have a warm welcome (and perhaps a little coaching to help them along)
