Probably an Alien Spaceship? Right out of the cloud Bank. Or was that a movie…?[:-dunce]

you know . it could be a wind shift. just thought of it. dark cloud could been low pressure and the sun where he is could be high. now that i think about it HUGE WIND SHIFT.

Maybe a hole in the space-time continuum?

Or perhaps the cloud lifted to reveal the beauty of the mountain beneath?

In Austria we have a wind phenomenon that is called “Foen”. It happens when there is warm weather/high south of the alps (Italy) and cold weather/ low pressure at the north (Austria/Germany).
Warm winds start to slide over the mountains, following the contour of the terrain. the Temp changes quickly. Strong southerly winds. Many people get headaches from the drastic changes. The clouds that can be seen in such conditions above the mountains are very typical and look similar to this picture.

Seeing as you’re in the Pacific rim, possibly a volcanic eruption? Had something eerily similar on Mt St Helens when I was a kid!
