floatsam

i was reading the news when i found this. http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/06/27/fbi.marina/index.html

I usually refrain from posting political opinions or news about recent world events because it has no place on a sailing chat board.
Nothing against you personally Ed, but what the hell does this have to do with sailing toy boats?

It is crap like this on CNN that causes terrorism to work so well. If it were not for the news media, and America being tied to their television sets, terrorism would cease to exist.

What next? Are people supposed to be afraid of model boats because a terrorist “could” use one to ram in to an aircraft carrier and blow it up?

Are terrorists going to use model radio control units to guide missiles in to the heart of America?

Jesus people. Get over yourselves. Get on with your lives. Quit walking around on pillows all the time.
The more you are scared of “what if” the more terrorism works.

Anyone who knows me, will tell you I call it like it is. I don’t sugar coat anything.
I know the above statement may be taken as harsh. We have all lost loved ones and things in the world are un-easy right now.
You alone can make the choice to accept terrorism, or ignore it.

Offend me? Ha! Not likely. I got real thick skin.
Thick skin is a pre requisite to be a manufacturer in this business.

No hard feelings here.

Now back to model sailing.

if i know peter
he was not offended but rather he was trying to keep the board on a even keel. we just got it fixed. and did not need to put misleading information, ed i like the idea of a radio controlled sailboat bomb. it was a laugh. that was absured. but yet everybody is on pins and needles. i for one will contiune to race in the states and encouraged the yankees to come north.
