I know there are a lot of people on this forum with much more intelligence and skill than I. But I have achieved something that I have not read about on this or any other forum. Rather than scale a full size boat to a smaller size I have scaled one up to a larger size. This took all my skill, knowledge and ability to achieve. But I have created an exact scale replica to the perfect scale size with detail down to the smallest detail. This took great effort, time and a steadier hand then I thought possible, but the results were vary rewarding.
Yes, I have created an 8?=1? scale radio controlled, 1967 bathtub Rubber Ducky!
It is based on a Vac-U-Duck (see Vac-U-Boat at http://www.vac-u-boat.com/ Phil was a great help), which comes fully painted as a real duck. Then came the hard part. I had to determine what to paint yellow and what to paint orange. I did add a feature that you don?t see that often, I installed a sound system with an MP3 player and a small amplified speaker. It plays duck sound effects followed by the Rubber Ducky Song, more duck sounds then song, over and over and over?.. It is an inexpensive way to add sound to your models. You can download almost any sound effects you could think of (engine sounds, ship bells and horns, etc.).
The Ducky drives the real ducks daffy (get it daffy ducks, he, he, he) but the Grandkids love it!
