equinox=

  1. Either of two points on the celestial sphere at which the ecliptic intersects the celestial equator.
  2. Either of the two times during a year when the sun crosses the celestial equator and when the length of day and night are approximately equal; the vernal equinox or the autumnal equinox.

FWIW, the old globe has the North Pole at maximum inclination on June 21 and we always called that the Summer Solstice.

Yeah - equinox is ~March 21 or September 21

The Other Matt

Matt has it right.

Unfortunately a new kit release on March or September 21 was out of the question.
And the name solstice just did not quite sound right for this model.

Pictures are on the way!

Draft 4.5"
weight 5.5 - 7.0 LBS
Sail area aprox 500 Sq.in.

Peter

As Wis said thanks for the photos !!!

At 29.5 inchs a small boat but nice for transporting. Will be very interestd in how she sails.

Peter,

What is the waterline length?

The lines look familiar. What full sized boat is it styled after?

Will Gorgen

Kinda reminds me of the Albin Vega…

The Other Matt

Na. The Albin Vega has a shallow bilge with a thin but long iron
keel with little or no ‘deadwood’, this hull and deck
have a similarity to an old Hurley 22 or a Cutlass 27. Both UK designs of the early 70’s

Cheers
