Here are photos of last week’s race on Dianshan Lake outside Shanghai to give an idea of how RC sailing is growing in China.
The event consisted of one-meter E class boats which make up the predominate racing fleet in China & was held on the Olympic Rowing training. Smaller S class boats sailed by younger enthusiasts were also in attendance. #90 with the British Racing Green hull belongs to one of our members who lives in Shanghai & sails frequently with us in Hangzhou. He took first in the afternoon races & also provided excellent coverage of the event.
We have a another one-meter arriving in Hangzhou this week so weekend racing will soon be upon us.
