Do you really want to know why the Aussies like playing cricket? You might think it is our way of having fun with the New Zealanders and you would only be half right. Our main aim, the real reason we play is to beat the POMS (the English). This stems from the early days of our convict history, whenever we sent Cricket teams to England the POMS called the Aussies the “players” and their side they called the “Gentlemen” and since that time we have been out to get em’. Not only do we give it to them in Cricket but Rugby league and Rugby football as well.Go Aussie!!!
