CR-914 Kit vs 1/2 build

I understand a CR-914 can be had three ways:

  1. full build
  2. 1/2 build
  3. kit

With full or 1/2 build, they claim the keel are rudder have been faired. Question: do the manufacturers do a good enough job at fairing?

I’m thinking of getting started with the CR-914 class since there are several fleets nearby.

If you are getting it from Dave Ramos then not to worry as he builds beautiful boats.
Though I like doing it all myself (built three of these), if you don’t then by all means feel comfortable with Chesepeake Perfomance Models.
