I have read the blurb about the carbon fin - I’m interested to know about the weight. I have an R10R carbon fin made by a friend for his boat - 600mm below the hull - 100mm at the top - 50mm at the bottom - symetrical taper - it weighs 320gms.
What is the effect of a similar keel that might weigh 600gms but is twice as stiff. I guess to retain the same waterline length you have to carve 280gms off the lead.
