420, I’ll try to help if you can tell me more about what you mean by multiple plates. If it’s just to get a plate for every surface of the hull, you don’t need to define multiple layers. You do, however, need to specify that each individual surface is developable.

To mudhenk27, does it mean that you form diferent surface for each plate.
I found that working with one surface, divided in layers simplified the proces.
In maxsurf you must use more than one surface for chine hulls, and then you spend more time on preparing the surfaces than on designing the hull.
