BAG IOM (A lesser known and very under rated boat

to compare two hull designs and check which has more drag, tie an equal lenght of rope on the bow of the two hulls,put some ballast to simulate 15 degrees of heel,tie the other ends of the the two ropes to an arm with a pivot in the middle,tie another rope to the pivot and drag the two hulls across water.the hull with less drag should move forward while the hull with more resitance or drag would fall back.crude but works fine

INFORMATION DERIVED FROM ‘IL2 COMPARE’

Vclimb, Vcorner, Vcf/Vcorner(cf),(ias in kph). SC gear change, (alt in km) and critical alt (in km).

Vclimb = best rate of climb at sea-level
(theoretically reduces with alt, but good enough for game purposes)
Vcorner = speed for min turn time
Vcf = speed below which turn rate is better with combat flap (cf)
Vcorner(cf) = speed for min turn time with cf

*Indicates a better max turn rate with cf than clean.
Other ac turn better in clean configuration at the higher Vcorner.
Note: even if your best rate is obtained in clean configuration you should still drop cf as the speed drops below Vcf;
similarly, if your best rate is obtained with cf, do not drop cf until you reach Vcf.
