4 AAA batt ....soldering : how to?

some technicl question here:

I am willing to use 4 AAA NiMH 800Mah in my Micro Magic…I DO NOT NEED 6v!! so 4.8v is enough…now a question…how do I solder them together?

Any ideas, advices, anything please.

Thanks

thanks…what solder did you use 30watt or more?

I like the idea of the separate battery pack…will do some.

Thanks…oh and another question [;)] what cable did you use for connecting batteries? what diameter I mean?

I use a 100 Watt solder.
the cable I use has a diameter of 1,75 mm

Jeroen

thx

Talking about MM, what servo are you using?
This is what I plan to use:

any thoughts?

For the rudder I use a hs-50 or something similar.
For the sails I use a hs-225MG BB. The most people in The Netherlands are using this servo.

if you have got more questions just ask!

I seriously recommend you don?t use a soldering iron under 75 watts. Experts will tell you that you can get away with 50 watts, but these are the same guys that make 20 packs a day and sell them over the net. Because trust me I have seen what happens when a battery ruptures.

That being said, if you pick up a good 100 or 150 watt soldering gun (around 100+ watts they are guns not the little irons you see used on computers), and you prepare properly, it will be an easy task.

Jeroen,

Thanks…I almost chose the same one, just the one you use for the rudder is even lighter.

Dan,

Nice links…now rock and roll and try
