1916 Herreshoff, Rowdy.

Though this would be nice to pass around the bar.
Check out this website. It’s about 1916 Herreshoff, Rowdy. The boat is for sale on eBay for just a tiny bit under a mil! Anybody want to share the cost? ROY? [:-eyebrows]

Lovely boat, I doubt anyone would dare to race her in 50knot winds as she was in her heyday, just look at the racing results page!

Luff 'em & leave 'em.

All of the Herreshoff’s boats are lovely, at least to my undiscriminating eye. Thanks, Greg - so when are you gonna buy her and take us out for a jaunt?

There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats. Kenneth Graeme, Wind in the Willows.

I agree all the Herreshoffs design lovely boats. However, tradition is not always a success. Just remember the Liberty 12-meter yacht, designed by Herreshoff (and Dennis Conner!). Its long overhangs were pleasing to the eye, but Ben Lexcen had drawn his attention to what’s going on down under. And the rest is history.
