Where can I find a boat model?

Hi,
This is not RC related but I thought that maybe you guys could help me out. I want to get my dad a model of his boat, or something similar to it. There are plenty of places that sell scale models of “old” ships, but I haven’t found a place yet that makes models of new, modern yachts. Anyway, the boat I’m going for is a Beneteau First 36.7, but I’ll really settle for any model of a contemporary boat. Money is definitely not a non-issue, but I’d be willing to spend a fair amount for a good piece.

There are a number of companies that specialize in the type of model you want.

Try www.halfhulls.com. They did a Beneteau First 310 for me and it was beautiful.

Ray, thanks for the link. From the looks of their pictures, it looks like they make really nice stuff. Understandably, there was no pricing info on their website, could you let me know how much you paid for your’s? I’d like them to build me a full standing model but I’m worried that they’ll be priced out of my league. Thanks again! (and thanks for the Laser)
