Many years ago (when I was a kid) my dad bought me a model boat that was a replica of a Star class boat. It was made of wood, and had a compartment for electronics, but they had never been installed. My dad still has this boat, but I’m wondering who the manufacturer might be of this kit built boat. The sails are basically cotton/canvas (and need to be thrown out due to age) and the spars are all wood as well. I though about restoring the model and adding electronics at some point, but I wasn’t sure if the kit maker still existed. I don’t believe it is big enough to be a Star 45, but it looks like a smaller version. Anyone else ever seen anything like this? It’s got an aluminum keel fin (basically flat) and a cast lead bulb.
