Sail Servo

Don,
great idea! I have no problem with scrounging for stuff. Unfortunately, i live in a sparsely populated area with few resources. I don’t think any sporting goods stores do rod repair but I can check. I have to get most all my equipment as well as my education for modeling from the internet.

I was reading about servos at the Bluebird website, and I discovered a servo that is more powerful than the MS-380MG servo (57 oz-in@6V)

MS-The 380MAX has 62 oz-in torque at 6V for the same weight (16g)

 BMS-380MG

Weight 15.6grams / 0.55oz
Dimensions 26 x 13 x 26 mm
Torque At 4.8V 50 oz-in
Torque At 6.0V 57 oz-in

BMS-380MAX

Weight 16.4grams / 0.58oz
Dimensions 26 x 13 x 26 mm
Torque At 4.8V 57 oz-in
Torque At 6.0V 62 oz-in

Mr. McCallister mentioned to me that he will restock with the MAX servos after hhis supply of the former is gone.

BTW- theses are classified as mini servos, although they are about the same size as the micros ( just slightly larger.)
