John,
I agree with that philosophy, but my self I want to spare additional 80g and money specially considering the additional floating ballast of 200g I want to put at the bow.
If I start to adds weights here and there the game will be over !
Remember that this is a prototype and the original design was for 4050g max and now is 4250g.
If I manage to do all well, it is not excluded to use the MRG, the question is how to gain 80g ?
So far my proto is overweight by 150g +80g in case of MRG !
And is because there are around foolish people like me that others may have the the opportunity to do sailing with high performance models. Sorry for my lack of modesty !!!
Cheers
Claudio
Is time for me to close this long tread about the ONETWOTWO that became along the road the 1.2.3. simply because easy to use it as graphics on the sail. More then 720 pictures published.
I just winded up all pertinent files corresponding to the actual boat used for the launch with the video of Alan.
See Zip File for those would like to make it. Now I’m sure that she sail very well !!!
A new phase will be open with the new construction based upon a female mold.
A New Tread/ Discussion will be open called “1.2.3.”
Is time to thanks all that offered their supports during these 6 months of hard work, some of them I consider now good friend in spite of the Internet barrier.
A special thanks to Alan (kiwi120), Row(twister), Symont, Celtic Spirits, Dick Lemke, marcsmith, Jim(Astute Composites), JayDee, and all others 40 or 50 without a name that often look my pictures. Sorry for the forgotten ones.
Cheers

Dear Claudio,
If I remember correctly, you had prepare two rudders for this project ; a short and a long, with different cords. Which one were you using on the maiden voyage? And do you feel the need to test the other or it was OK like this?
Bonjour Sylvain,
of course will be tested at another occasion when weather will be less stormy.
The one used, anyhow, was the one with larger aspect ratio and I think that some times was entering into stall condition .
This appears on the filming when the 180° turn was not always completed. I’m not sure yet, probably was my thumb releasing the joystick to early.
I will be not be surprised about the stall since this is a peculiarity of long aspect ratio.
Cheers
