Micro Receivers / Servos / Antennas etc....

Bill…

As Doug pointed out, either a double or single conversion receiver will work with your transmitter… Also as he pointed out, the crystals are different for each…

Your Laser 4 is called double conversion because that is the type of receiver that came with it… Today, many single conversion receivers operate as well as the doubles… Some like the Berg are using a DSP routine to lock to your specific transmitter and reject the others… Seems to work, I have not been shot down for a long time using the single conversion Bergs…

Guess I will just have to spring for one of the 75Mhz ones and give it a try… In a sailboat senario, a glitch or shoot down is a far less critical thing than in an aircraft… I may need the chase boat but probably not a body bag to bring back the pieces…

Hi Gang…

Just received my MBP-9G4 75 Mhz micro receiver in the mail today and it looks good… Very small footprint as you can see from the photo and only 6 grams… Plan to use it with a Deans Mini Antenna and my Laser 6 transmitter… Will let you know how it plays when I can do some range checks in a day or two… Priced at $30 US, cheaper than my Bergs and designed for 75 not 72 Mhz… Still plan to try one of my 72 Mhz Bergs on 75 Mhz and see how it plays…
