Brett
Are those pictures you posted only available on the pro version of Hullform?
I can’t seem to fond them on my free version.
Thanks Don
Hi Don,
No the free version is able to show all the lines the pro version has.
Attached is a footy in the Free version
Could you give me a clue as to where I might find such a picture. I can’t find anything that looks like that.
Thanks
Don
Go To to “view” then “view options” then turn on “waterlines” and add a suitable value for the spacing.
There is a manual with the software as well, worth reading.
I have played w/Hulform and have tried to get a view where the individual “Hull Panels” can be displayed and printed, but no luck to date.
For exanple, how did Bill Hagerup generate the Panels for his Razer or Cobra that are shown in the Plans area?
Thanks for your help. Frank
I think Bill exports the .hud files to freeship then generates the panels from there.
Here is a .hud file exported to Pro Engineer for further work.
Thanks Brett
I had already tried turning on waterlines but I had no idea what “set interval” was so nothing happened. Now I know what set interval means. I have read the manual but sometimes the terms bog me down. I didn’t have this much trouble with “Delphship” but like my dog it won’t “heel”. I’ll try harder to find the answers in the help and manual.
Thanks
Don

Is there a forum somewhere that I can post questions about Hullform? This is the 3rd or 4th time I have sat myself down to learn to use hullform and the 3rd or 4th time I have ended up cursing and swearing and wanting to break things. I thought this time I would follow the tutorial. First thing I notice is they forget to tell you to change the sections to 3 instead of the default, back to the beginning. I get all the parameters in right and try to view, I get a little window saying I haven’t put in a displacement, I go to click OK and it just bongs and puts up another window the same. I try to close Hullform and it just bongs. CTRL,ALT,DEL. Start again. Put in all the parameters, can’t find anywhere to put in a displacement, go to view and up comes the little window telling me to enter a displacement. Finally by clicking OK about 10 times(really) I get to see the hull and another little window pops up saying its not balanced correctly. I never asked it to balancd the hull. Does it do this automatically? How the hell is someone supposed to learn this if it keeps throwing suprises at you? You can’t back up, you have to start from the beginning every bloody time. I’m going to have to put an add in the paper, maybe someone can give me lessons. Screw it, I’m going camping and sailing.
Rant mode off.
Sorry, I just had to do that
