Hull thickness

I think at the EC-12 Nats they should have at least one race that is a “Le Mans Start” where the drivers in the famous race were required to sprint across the track to their cars… I think the skippers should have to carry their boats to the lake running a reasonable distance. The sound of balsa wood decks cracking would be deafening.

The EC12 is the most difficult boat to carry.[:-weepn]
I know because I put my back out again, a few months back, doing an EC12 regatta. [:-headache]
It comes right, over the following weeks, but is painful in the meantime. No Fun![:-hockey]
Your suggestion is <font size=“3”><font color=“red”>evil.</font id=“red”></font id=“size3”>[:-mean]
He-He-He[:-timebm]

Do it NOW before it`s too late.

If your hatch opening is sufficiently strong enough carrying the EC-12 by grabbing the deck there is a snap… of course… if your deck is not strong enough, it’s a snap too… only more physically. I hear tell of decks being replaced as often as 3 times in a season because of cracks in the super light weight balsa version.

ouch… that’s a lot of work.[B)]
