Yeah, I watched them put the boat in the other day. I just wish I would know when they are going to get a live video going, because I don’t carry a phone or tablet.
The competition is about to start! on May 26th.
Besides the special AC+ application, will there be something on TV? I mean besides on some obscure channel you only get for a fee? I think most cable systems have Fox Sports and networks like that. Last time, someone told me the AC races were "live" on Youtube, when I know for a fact that it wasn’t.
I hope they have sense enough NOT to let any network substitute tennis for the AC races.
Let’s hope for a straight-forward, no-drama, defense, although the last AC was what you’d cal “not boring,” except for the one day there was no pressure.
It looks like they Cup Web people are only going to support the Chrome browser, or Windows 10 users.
It looks like they are going to lose millions of viewers…
that’s assuming they had a million viewers to begin with.
looks like nbc sports might have some coverage…
The online stuff usually includes the LiveLine stuff.
Dead end link.
The link was for a live webcast, and there was no provision to replay it.
NBCSP has been covering the Bermuda scene the past couple of days.
It’s coverage is on again today, here, at noon Central Daylight Time.
Great racing!
It says 1pm Ohio time.
Darn. Oracle has a live stream on FB, but I can’t find it! Then I turned o n NBCSN and they have FISHING.
NBCSN is delayed an hour.
If you “search” online “carefully” you can find live streams from European tv stations, it may have arabic or russian commentators, but you can find them.
The round-robin qualifiers were shown liven the NBC Sports Network, but apparently some dummy thinks it’s over. The next live sailing is on June 10…
There is sailing every day on the schedule, and even today, TNZ is racing BAR, but it’s not on the TV listings. I thought there might be a lay-day, but with so few boats, they have every day packed with racing.
At least you can watch the LiveLine simulator, via the AC application (which is free to watch!)
I was thinking of getting an Oracle T shirt to add to the one from the last AC. That one was probably a shirt worn during the Cup by a team member because you could see where the patch was glued to the shirt- there was glue still on the shirt, which I couldn’t get off.
Anyway… Do you thing it’s too early to get a ($57) shirt? It would be better or more valuable if Oracle defended the Cup again, but otherwise it would be an expensive thing to keep in the drawer and wear to regattas…
For what it’s worth, I have some Rio Olympics Multihull shirts (t- shirt and long sleeve plus baseball hat) NACRA promotion since they provided the 17 footer for mixed team competition. Fun wearing even though I didn’t go -or sail. Didn’t cost anywhere near your price. Might want to see if cost comes down if they don’t win. Just an FYI / thought
That’s the conundrum. YOu can buy an Oracle shirt now for $55, but if they win/defend, it’ll b e $100. If they lose the Cup, they’ll be worth $3.57
OOPS!
There was a bit of a slip for Outteridge in the second race today, as he falls off the boat.
There will be one last day of racing the LVCup on Monday, 14:12
So who’s sailing in the Stanly Cup, and when are the finals?
Not sure what you are asking…as the Stanley Cup finals are over with Pittsburgh winning.
It appears that the NBC Sports Channel handed over the coverage of the AC to the NBC channel.
Yes, the coverage here in Tennessee from Bermuda was on the NBC local channel instead of NBCSP as previously.
On Saturday we only had 30 minutes of coverage and it started with the competitors in the 2nd leg of the race. Oh, and it was the second race of the day, to beat that. Didn’t get to see the start or any of why the U.S. was so far behind…
Suppose to be 2 hours of coverage today. I hope so, I would like to see the entire race or races.
